Following on from the success of ‘Construisons demain’ at the 2007 show, BATIMAT in partnership with the magazines EcologiK and Architectures A Vivre has decided to repeat the experiment with a new project: the Be-GREEN houses.
These are two wooden town houses designed to have a minimal ecological footprint and a neutral energy balance. They are built opposite the main entrance and Pavillon 5 of exhibition centre.
Differing in size (90 and 140 sqm) and sharing a common space on one level (laundry, bike shed, garage...), these two semi-detached houses have been designed to be able to accommodate somebody with reduced mobility.
One has a positive energy budget, whilst the other is passive, i.e. it has an energy budget close to zero.
Referred to as ‘intelligent’, the Be-GREEN houses will are fitted with control panels and other systems to allow consumption to be optimized and comfort improved.
