Accessibility for All, Pavillon 7.2

A space totally dedicated to Accessibility for All.

Confronted by an ageing population and within the framework of the application of the regulations relating to accessibility for all (the elderly, persons with restricted mobility, the handicapped), the building and construction sector must nowadays take expectations regarding accessibility into account when training its professionals, running accessibility diagnostics, and in its installations and solutions,…

In conjunction with a FNSAI initiative, BATIMAT 2009 will host a space designed to raise awareness and provide information on the subject of Accessibility for All that brings together the various trade associations (UNSFA, UNTEC, FFB, CAPEB, FIEEC, CSTB, APCI, ….) under the auspices of the relevant institutions (National Assembly, National Handicapped Council,..),
This space will host associations working in the handicapped sector and with the elderly, as well as occupational therapists. As a real show case for accessibility for all, this space will feature an awareness trail for the various types of handicap, model projects and industrial solutions relating to accessibility for outdoor fittings, electrical systems, home automation, drives, hygiene and well being, interior fittings, (design for all), communication and technologies.
A space to visit to learn about the regulations and for training dedicated to the professionals. Continuous workshops will allow you to engage in discussions and also to meet representatives of the association world (the elderly and handicapped).
The Accessibility for All conference will open at 11.30 a.m. on Tuesday 3rd November 2009.
