These projects demonstrate that accessibility does not just have to be a regulatory constraint but that it can be achieved whilst promoting social cohesion and respect for the environment. They also demonstrate the diversity of projects across Europe, whether it be housing, sporting facilities, public places, institutions that are open to the public or cultural venues.

The whole world must be able to participate in every aspect of life in society, irrespective of age or capabilities and with the greatest possible degree of independence.
