QUALIBAT has been a loyal exhibitor at the International Building Exhibition for many years. This year you are back again in the space dedicated to services… What are your goals and reasons for being present this year?

Given a regulatory environment that is heavily influenced by the ambitions of the Grenelle de l’Environnement [the French environment initiative], QUALIBAT needs to offer services and information adapted to the needs of companies, to help them position themselves in a credible and effective manner in emerging markets.

What services and information are you offering?

One of the products offered by QUALIBAT is a new qualification in the measurement of the air tightness of building envelopes, which is a requirement for the BBC-Effinergie [low consumption building-energy efficiency] label and compliance with the 2012 Thermal Regulations. We have also created six new qualifications with site work monitoring that extend our range of trade certifications in the field of renewables and which fully comply with the requirements of the pubic authorities and ADEME. Finally, we are also very proud to have made a new tool for monitoring technology and regulations available to QUALIBAT companies. This is our Corpus Qualibat, which has been specifically developed for them and which draws on the expertise of the CSTB. All these new developments are designed to help them advance their knowledge and know-how.

What visitors re you expecting on your stand?

Companies and tradesmen are clearly the people we primarily talk to but specifiers are also very much in the frame because QUALIBAT qualifications and certifications are reliable guides for them in choosing the best professionals for their projects. Final customers are also always looking for information, especially about the selection of companies online or how they can use the QUALIBAT certification in their invitations to tender. Architects and project managers are more often interested in the additions to our range. … And that’s one of the reasons why this show is a unique opportunity to respond to the concerns of all.
