There are a number of technical considerations to take account of when selecting and sizing STRUCTO prestressed beams including, for example, the load they are to carry, their span and any fire rating requirements.
Beams are custom made with individually calculated reinforcement designs.
Our beams have a transverse section of an ‘I’ in order to reduce weight and they come in two types:-
• ‘I’ Constant can be used for long spans and heavy loadings.
• ‘15’ has a sloping top flange to accommodate the fixing of STEELDEK which allows rainwater to be readily discharged. Integrated fixings are incorporated into the roof beams to enable easy and speedy fixing of the STEELDEK.
Further beam types ‘RR’, ‘L’ or ‘T’ add to the diversity of our range and provide a solution to every kind of typical building. More complex beam designs also exist to cater for more specialized constructions such as bridges.
